Summer TV Preview: How will Nashville season 6, series end?
Is it still a surprise that Nashville is ending? In a word, we’re going to say “yes” … if for no other reason than that this was the sort of story that could have gone on forever. This is a show all about the country-music industry, and with that in mind there are always going to be new faces who turn up and stories to explore. It’s a shame on some level that we are not going to get to explore that further.
With that being said, though, all good things come to an end, and there are many important storylines that Nashville still needs to wrap up. Take, for example, seeing whether or not Juliette ever leaves the cult that has now ensnared her. Beyond that, you also have to wonder whether or not Maddie is going to keep living the celebrity life, or if the relationship between Deacon and Jessie is going to stabilize.
Ultimately, one of the biggest things that we expect in the final episodes is drama and plenty of it. We do think that there are going to be some victories at the end of the series — after all, this is not a show hellbent on constant depression — but there will probably be some setbacks before hand. This is a show that has killed off before, after all, and we have to think that this remains on the table. Beyond that, we anticipate a little bit more heartbreak and some of this show’s signature highs and lows to go along with it.
