Elementary season 6 episode 5 details: Retracing Sherlock’s steps
For a little bit more information, be sure to check out the attached synopsis below:
“Bits and Pieces” – Holmes and Watson retrace Holmes’ steps after he finds himself in possession of a severed head and no memory of the past six hours or why he has it, on ELEMENTARY, Monday, May 28 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
What makes this particular murder case so exciting is how it does introduce a different wrinkle to this familiar device. The majority of the time when we see an episode like this, it’s comedic in nature — typically, it resolves a character getting really drunk and losing most of their memory from the night before. With Elementary, however, this episode could be much more serious given some of Sherlock’s recent health woes. If there is a concern that this memory lapse is tied to that, it could cause Holmes to become incredibly afraid that he is losing even more of the essence of who he is. Exploring that could make for some phenomenal material for Jonny Lee Miller, which we are always happy about given that he is more than capable of pulling off anything that you give to him.
Even if this episode is unrelated to some of Sherlock’s recent health woes, given the trajectory of the series as of late you have to think that some of those will surface in their own way eventually.
