Chicago Med season 3 finale review: Will makes his move; who’s in danger?
After all, consider one of the biggest cliffhangers they’ve given us for Will and Natalie. After going through yet another trying day at the hospital, Natalie learned exactly who it was that Will hooked up with during their “break.” In the aftermath of all of this he proposed — it wasn’t exactly the perfect time for it and we’re not sure that she will say yes. This seemed to be more about Will trying to prove his commitment to her just as much as it was anything else.
Still, we want to see Manstead continue largely because we know that all of the feelings are there — unfortunately, though, they’ve been trying to swim their way out of some rough waters for a little while now.
Speaking of rough waters, is it fair to describe what’s going on now with Ethan and April in such a way? At the moment it feels like that for a number of reasons, most notably when you think about how Ethan chose to handle his sister. While April encouraged Ethan earlier this season to give Emily a chance, they flipped the script in the finale. Ethan is now the one who wants to believe in Emily and his decision to do so could cost him his relationship. Based on what April said in the finale, she may not be altogether interested in supporting him now.
Yet, all of this relationship drama may not have been the most noteworthy part of the finale. Instead, that may be Dr. Charles taking on Sarah Reese’s father and in the aftermath of their argument, Reese’s dad seemingly dying on the hospital floor. His health failed, and in some ways Dr. Charles’ desperation to help his surrogate daughter (Sarah) led to him pushing her biological did to his limit.
Unfortunately, Sarah saw Dr. Charles standing over her father’s body, so that has to lead to some awkward conversations, no? She doesn’t even know about Daniel’s investigation just yet. This was the meatiest story in the finale, and the one that made us wonder why Dr. Charles didn’t just recruit a few members of Intelligence for help.
Are we losing Connor?
This is a cliffhanger judging from the way in which the finale ended, with Connor Rhodes’ getting an offer from the Mayo Clinic after being a hero in the conjoined twins operation. For the time being, this is something that you should be worried about.
CarterMatt Verdict
The Chicago Med season 3 finale proved itself to be all sorts of outstanding in terms of drama. We do wish there was time to touch on some stories such as Goodwin’s ex attempting suicide or the state of Ethan and April, but all of this certainly has us intrigued about the future.
