This morning Fox revealed their full 2018 Fall Schedule, and it’s one that reminds us precisely how the network doesn’t really have all that much when it comes to timeslots currently available. They already have only two hours a night, and to go along with that now, they also have Thursday nights gone in the fall due to the NFL.
You can see what is for now their full schedule, but note that things are always subject to change. All times listed are Eastern. (You can read more about some of Fox’s new series by clicking here.)
8:00 – The Resident
9:00 – 911
to the surprise of no one 911, the breakout hit from earlier this year, is now on the fall schedule. This is a clear attempt to get Fox a hit where they do not typically have one.
8:00 – The Gifted
8:30 – Lethal Weapon
Both of these shows are in new timeslots and for the first time in quite a while, Fox isn’t even bothering to air comedies on Tuesdays.
8:00 – Empire
9:00 – Star
Nothing has changed here from one year to the next.
8:00 – Thursday Night Football
Boo. That is all.
8:00 – Last Man Standing
8:30 – The Cool Kids
9:00 – Hell’s Kitchen
After being acquired a year after its cancellation by ABC, Last Man Standing moves over to its new home in a very familiar timeslot. The Cool Kids is believed to be a good timeslot companion.
8:00 – The Simpsons
8:30 – Bob’s Burgers
9:00 – Family Guy
9:30 – Rel
Rel and The Cool Kids are the only two new shows on Fox’s schedule, and the hope here is that the former will appeal to the same crop of people who enjoy Family Guy.
Overall, Fox arranged several nights of their schedule and made some huge changes, but we’re not sure how much this will help them or not. They’re going to have to rely on a lot of brand loyalty after some controversial cancellations and moves the past few weeks.
