Where is Instinct episode 8 on the CBS schedule?

Instinct episode 8

Is Instinct episode 8 new tonight on CBS? We know that originally, the plan here was definitely for the series to be back on the air.

Unfortunately, that is not actually going to happen and it is hard to really pinpoint the reason for that. CBS tonight is airing a repeat of 60 Minutes in the 8:00 p.m. Eastern timeslot, so it’s hardly as though there is something else coming on the air that needs to take its place. The series is also off the air next week, but that’s for a little more of an understandable reason in the two-hour NCIS: Los Angeles finale.

Following this current hiatus Instinct is going to return with new episodes starting on Sunday, May 27, and from there it will presumably air every Sunday for the remainder of the season. We’re excited that there are still a nice batch of episodes to go this season, but we also have some questions at the same time. Doesn’t CBS expect the ratings to go down for these? While we are thrilled to know that the show is coming back for a second season already, we do want there to be some ratings momentum along the way. This is a show that we want to see back on the air for many more years, especially since there’s a lot of growth still to be had from characters like Dylan Reinhart and Lizzie Needham.

Before the end of the season, one thing we do want to see is a way to incorporate more of Dylan’s husband Andy into some of these stories — even if there is a point in which he gets in some danger and Lizzie / Dylan have to work together in order to save him. Also, more of Naveen Andrews since we enjoyed him on Lost so much. The first season has thirteen episodes overall and with that, the show has to cram more footage in here than they would for most other series on the air.
