Riverdale season 2 finale spoilers: The election; Betty’s confrontation
This episode is going to clearly be a summation of many of the stories that you’ve had a chance to see so far this year, whether we are talking about the election for Mayor, learning whether or not Hiram is going to continue to be a power player, or Cheryl finally making some moves that she considers to be the best for her future. It almost goes without saying that she’s had a heck of a year and we’re super-curious to see precisely how all of this could wrap up.
Below, the Riverdale season 2 finale synopsis gives you a little more in the way of insight as to just what is going to be coming next:
ELECTION DAY – With Fred (Luke Perry) trailing in the polls, Archie (KJ Apa) steps in to lend a hand in his dad’s mayoral campaign. Veronica (Camila Mendes) stays one step ahead after uncovering Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) latest scheme. Elsewhere, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) finalizes her emancipation from her mother, while FP (Skeet Ulrich) makes a surprising announcement to Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and the Serpents. Finally, Betty (Lili Reinhart) confronts her darkest demons. Marisol Nichols, Madchen Amick, Ashleigh Murray and Casey Cott also star. Steven A. Adelson directed the episode written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (#222). Original airdate 5/16/2018.
At the moment, we know that we’re entering the Riverdale finale with a great sense of nervousness but also excitement. We know that there is potential for some absolutely terrible things to happen. Yet, at the same time we know that there’s a good chance that there could be a few fun things to happen in here! One of the things that we’ve come to realize over time is that Riverdale is a show that doesn’t just highlight a single dimension of its characters. They are all multifaceted and that, in turn, makes things more fascinating.
