SEAL Team finale spoilers: Will Jason sacrifice himself?

The SEAL Team finale is heading over to CBS in one week’s time and based on some of the information that we’ve got, all signs point towards some significant surprises. “The Cost of Doing Business” is an episode that will test Jason like no other — not only that, but in the process it will also cost him his life. We know that he is a powerful, determined man who will do virtually anything and everything that he can in order to ensure that the mission is completed. He has zero qualms with putting his life on the line in order to ensure that this happens.

Below, the SEAL Team finale synopsis does offer you up a pretty good sense as to precisely what the character is up to as the story goes along:

“The Cost of Doing Business” – After Jason lies about the severity of his concussion to get cleared for combat, he and the SEAL Team plan a final mission to avenge Echo Team’s deaths once and for all before they return home from deployment, on the first season finale of SEAL TEAM, Wednesday, May 16 (9:01-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Could it really be possible that David Boreanaz’s character could be killed off at the tail end of the finale? While that seems like a rather strange thing to think about as a possibility, we have a really hard time ruling it out based on what we know about this show. SEAL Team is a program that is unafraid to take risks and showcase some of the aftereffects of this life. Losing Jason, as sad as it would be, would certainly service that mission statement.

Obviously, we hope that he pulls through given that SEAL Team has already been renewed for a second season. We don’t want to see the series go anywhere and there is no denying that having David as a part of the cast is a big way in which to ensure that the ratings stay great every single step of the way.
