What was the song for Abby’s goodbye on NCIS season 15? We’re sure that there are many people out there asking that very question and with that, we’re happy to help provide some sort of answer.

The song that you heard in the closing minutes of the episode was “Be Still,” a powerful song by The Fray — which is, in turn, a band known for doing a lot of really powerful songs that air on TV. Just think for a moment here about how much play “How to Save a Life” got during Grey’s Anatomy for so long. We know that a song airing in this sort of spot can dramatically improve sales, and we do certainly expect that something rather similar is going to happen over the course of the next couple of days here. This song perfectly represented Abby’s feelings as she made the decision to move forward with the next phase of her life — starting a charity and fulfilling the life goal of one Clayton Reeves.

This was a heck of a powerful episode of NCIS anchored by a powerful song, and it’s definitely one that we think will be remembered for quite a long time. While we know the show could’ve gone with some of Abby’s signature musical stylings (you hear them almost any time that she goes in the lab), we’re personally glad that for this moment, the series went with something that was a little more clam and subdued. It fit the tone of the moment.

“Be Still” is a song that has been out for a few years now; yet, in the end, it will probably be remembered the most for how it was feared at the end of this episode and with Abby saying goodbye.
