Clayne Crawford leaving Lethal Weapon, if renewed for season 3 (report)

Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 6

Based on the information that is out there, it appears as though Clayne Crawford’s time is done over on Fox’s Lethal Weapon.

According to a report from TVLine, Fox and studio Warner Bros. are seeking out another actor to replace Crawford in the event the show is brought back for another season. As a matter of fact, this casting search could be integral to whether or not Fox decides to bring the show back for another season. This is a move that was first speculated back when reports of some on-set incidents first surfaced, suggesting that there were many word-related conflicts surrounding the actor and other people working on the show.

Crawford did confirm a pair of incidents in a recent post on social media, including one for an episode in which he directed. With that said, he also balked at the notion that he created a poor work environment and had the support of many from within the Lethal Weapon family as well as many fans on social media.

Fox and Warner Bros. declined to comment on the story, while a source close to the show is stating that no final decisions have been made. If the series is out to recast Crawford, however, they find themselves in a tricky position. While we on the outside may not be privy to every single thing that transpired behind the scenes, it does remain clear that Crawford has a loyal support base online.

Ultimately, it’s a tough situation to comment on without information from all parties, but the report comes from a reliable source. CarterMatt will maintain what we said in the original story on the subject: No one should ever be made to feel uncomfortable in their work environment or that there is a sense of hostility surrounding them. The finale for Lethal Weapon airs tonight on Fox, which makes the timing of this report all the more uncomfortable. For those who enjoy the show, our advice is to just enjoy the story and think of everything that happens as its own separate entity.
