Good Girls season 2 renewal official over at NBC
For everyone out there, the cast and crew of Good Girls are going to keep cashing in for at least one more season.
Today, NBC officially renewed the dramedy series, which features Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman, for a second batch of episodes. It’s a little early to know specifics a la the episode count or premiere date, but this should still be considered a great win. While Good Girls may have had the luxury of airing after The Voice for the majority of its season on Monday night, we have certainly learned over time that almost nothing is guaranteed when it comes to midseason shows. That is even true for a series like this.
Good Girls was consistent throughout most of its first season airing, and we ultimately feel like it is this more so than just about anything else that helped to ensure that the show got picked up for another batch of episodes. What NBC needed to know was that there would be a consistent group of viewers around to keep watching it and we feel like they do officially know that now. Given that the first season was also only ten episodes, we do think that the odds are also very much there that there could be a legion of fans who are able to check out the show over the course of the hiatus and start watching it live with season 2. That’s the sort of thing that any network ultimately dreams about.
