MacGyver season 3 premiere date hopes for Lucas Till, cast
Let’s kick things off here with this: A reminder that a MacGyver season 3 is in fact happening over at CBS. The renewal was first confirmed by the network late last month along with many of their other top-rated shows. There’s nothing to worry about when it comes to the show’s future right now, and we often tend to find that getting a season 3 is a fast track towards a season 4 renewal happening to go along with it. Typically shows that get to the 88-episode mark after season 4 can start to look for syndication and unless MacGyver starts to cut down on their episodes, they should be able to make it there without a problem.
Now, let’s get back to the other question asked at the start of this article: When season 3 could be starting! Typically, CBS series like to really get going in the last week or so in September, and for now we’d say to circle MacGyver in for a possible start date at around that time.
With that being said, though, there are some ways in which we could see that not coming to pass. For example, it’s possible that MacGyver may move to a different night of the week if CBS wants to place Magnum PI to Friday nights. We don’t every like to guarantee anything at this particular point, since we haven’t even gotten to the CBS upfronts yet (though that is a solid week and a half away). We’ll get a good sense as to what the fall schedule is at around that time, but you may still be forced to wait until the summer to actually get official premiere dates. Our hope is that the Friday timeslot stays the same and we get another 22-24 episodes coming to enjoy.
Obviously, it goes without saying that we’re already eager to cover a whole lot more MacGyver. This is a show with a fantastic cast and crew that really embraces both the source material and being a TV show in 2018. It’s nostalgic and current, funny and dramatic. It really gives you just about everything you could want from a series of this nature. The show’s been on a positive trajectory for quite some time now and we don’t see that changing.
