The Big Bang Theory season 11 finale spoilers: Amy’s parents, wedding dress
Leading up to this finale, who wants to see the first official glimpse of Amy’s parents on her big day! Kathy Bates and magician Teller have been cast as Amy’s mother and father, with Bates coming via a recasting after the character originally appeared in the past via Skype. You can see the first-look photo below via Entertainment Weekly, and it shows the gang all reasonably happy. While we haven’t seen a whole lot of Sheldon with either of these parents to date, we have to think that they all get along on some level. After all, if they didn’t wouldn’t that have been the subject of some sort of story by this point?
In addition to the castings of Bates and Teller, plus an appearance from none other than Mark Hamill as himself, John Ross Bowie, Courtney Henggeler, Lauren Lapkus, Laurie Metcalf, Jerry O’Connell, Brian Posehn and Wil Wheaton are going to be coming back as characters who have appeared on the show before. This is going to be a huge and hopefully-funny episode that tributes the entire run of the show and the relationship that has overcome a lot since it first began. If you think back to the pilot episode, Sheldon is not the sort of character you could’ve envisioned walking down the aisle — yet, here we are now! It’s the element of surprise that is, in part, what helps to make this more exciting.
