Station 19 season 1 finale could have massive cliffhanger
For a little bit more insight, take a look at the Station 19 season 1 finale synopsis:
Ben reaches a new milestone as a rookie and, as is tradition, receives something from the crew. Chief Ripley holds final interviews for the role of captain but is interrupted when the team is called to a massive skyscraper fire, causing several lives to hang in the balance.
We do hope that there is some sort of resolution when it comes to the captaincy position this season, largely because the resolution of that is likely going to lead some exciting story possibilities moving into season 2. With the issue of the hierarchy at the firehouse officially resolved, what this would effectively mean is that the show can figure out what the power structure is and how that impacts some of the relationships. After all, it is pretty fair to assume that there are going to be some implications with Andy and Jack to whatever is decided upon here.
Of course, we’re at least hoping that there is not a case coming up where either Andy or Jack dies, therefore making the other person automatically the Captain. You want some sort of push and pull, even if you do also want one other person to be officially handed the job.
The one thread that is not mentioned at all here that has us a little bit nervous is the status of one Captain Pruitt. While his occupational future remains unclear we do hope that he gets to live to make it to the finale.
