Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 3 is coming to AMC on Sunday night and judging from the new sneak peek below, all signs point towards us getting a little bit more insight into what the relationship will be between Morgan and Nick.
In so many ways, we do think that this batch of episodes is a slow burn and for a number of different reasons. For starters, you don’t want to force the introduction of Morgan in a way that doesn’t feel organic to the world and some of the other characters. Beyond that, you also want to explore a lot of the different relationships that are at the center of the story now. The connection with Morgan and Nick is one of the more interesting ones with this show for a number of different reasons, with one of the more notable parts of it being that they’ve both battled so many demons in their search for peace. Can Morgan help Nick in a way that very others can? It’s easy to imagine that he could be capable of it, mostly because Morgan is a man who understands tackling urges. He’s also a very different voice than anyone else Nick has heard from over time.
Speaking of time, who else is enjoying what the AMC series is doing right now? It’s fascinating stuff and while we’re still uncertain as to the long-term viability of this season (this is a show with a higher bar now after a great season 3), we’re hoping for the best. We will say that visually, The Walking Dead / Fear the Walking Dead handle black and white in a way that is so much better than any other show out there. It just suits this genre in some really interesting, unique ways.
