Ransom season 2 episode 5 preview: The emotional story of ‘Undercover’

Ransom season 2 episode 5

Want to know some of what lies ahead on Ransom season 2 episode 5? It feels fair to kick things off with this: Signs point towards this being one of the most emotional episodes we’ve seen yet of the series. After all, at the center of this is going to be a case for Zara that turns painful — and it’s also relevant to what is going on in the world today. Abuse happens in just about every profession out there, and unfortunately she is put in a position where she will have to work with someone who treated her terribly in the past. Nobody should have to put up with this sort of thing, so we’re hoping that over the course of this episode we have a chance to see justice on multiple fronts.

Below, the Ransom season 2 episode 5 synopsis offers up some more information on what’s coming up in the future:

“Undercover” – As Eric negotiates the release of an arms dealer’s son from a kidnapper, he uncovers a larger plot to destroy hundreds of lives. Also, Zara is shaken when she must work with an abusive ex-colleague in order to prevent this terrorist attack, on RANSOM, Saturday, May 5 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

What are some of the latest ratings?

There is some good news and bad news to report here. While this past episode maintained the series-low 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic that it had last week, it did post its highest total viewership of the year with over 2.8 million tuning in.

Recently, CBS did renew many of their shows but Ransom was left out — not that this is much of a shocker given the fact that this was not a show that anyone expected to be renewed just yet. There are a lot of different components at play here — the expectations are definitely lower than most other shows out there but at the end of the day, Ransom does still need to draw numbers.
