SEAL Team episode 21 spoilers: David Boreanaz directs!
Now, Boreanaz is getting into the chair for this second-to-last episode of the season, one that is going to feature much of the team surrounded and in serious danger. To go along with that, Boreanaz’s character of Jason Hayes is going to do his part to go after a target alone, and with not a lot of additional help in the process.
Below, the SEAL Team episode 21 synopsis gives us a pretty good sense as to precisely what is going to be coming up:
“The Graveyard of Empires” – Following a helicopter crash, the SEAL Team must proceed with the mission as hostiles bear down on them and an injured and impaired Jason goes after their target alone, on SEAL TEAM, Wednesday, May 9 (9:01-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Episode directed by series star David Boreanaz.
This episode is going to definitely set the stage for the finale, which is going to be as powerful and emotional of an episode that you’ve seen so far. That’s where Jason could put everything on the line in order to avenge Echo Team and find his way back home. We certainly give Boreanaz a lot of credit for wanting to direct the show at this point in the run — it’s not an easy thing to do no matter when you do it, but at this point we imagine that it’s even more difficult. Think about it in this way — you are probably already exhausted since it is the end of the season, but you are showing some further commitment by deciding to go through with this gig. Hopefully, that’s an inspiration to the rest of the team behind the scenes to keep pushing forward.
