The Flash season 4 episode 22 spoilers: David Ramsey guest stars!

Flash season 4

As we get closer to the final showdown with DeVoe, it’s fair to say that things are going to become increasingly more intense on The FlashJudging from some of the first details on season 4 episode 22, some of this intensity may veer off in an interesting direction. After all, David Ramsey is going to be appearing as John Diggle!

This is far from the first time in which Ramsey has popped over from Arrow and it is absolutely something we appreciate. One of our favorite things about Diggle as a character is seeing just how reacts to superpowers and some of the stranger things in the world. While you would start to think that someone like Diggle would begin to get accustomed to this eventually, is this really something that you can ever really prepare for? We’re not quite sure that you can!

Below, The Flash season 4 episode 22 synopsis offers up some additional insight when it comes to what lies ahead:

DAVID RAMSEY GUEST STARS — When DeVoe assaults an A.R.G.U.S. facility to complete his Enlightenment Machine, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the only way he can stop him is if he allows Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) to accompany him into the facility. Still shaken by Ralph’s death, Barry isn’t sure he wants to risk any more of his friends’ lives and considers taking on DeVoe solo. Viet Nguyen directed the episode written by Sam Chalsen & Kristen Kim (#422). Original airdate 5/15/2018.

Given that this is the episode before the finale it does make some sense for Barry to be contemplating a final showdown with DeVoe — yet, we do think that this is going to be something that he needs a little bit of help with. We’re talking about a villain with countless powers who has already shown himself to be practically invulnerable in quite a number of different ways. We know that Diggle won’t be sticking around forever, but it is nice to think that he could have a key role in setting the stage for whatever comes next.
