The Flash season 4 episode 20 preview: Gypsy returns for ‘Therefore She Is’

The Flash season 4 episode 20 entitled next week is entitled “Therefore She Is” and there is a part of this that should feel interesting almost right away. This title is a modified version of what we saw with “Therefore I Am” from earlier this season and on the surface, we almost wonder if this is meant to be some sort of enormous spotlight on Marlize. That would make sense given that the first one was all about Clifford; given that Marlize is at this point the most haunted character on the series, that could prove rather interesting. We just wish that there was a way in which to see what would happen with her if she was free and able to think using her own mind for a change.

So what do we expect to see? The Flash season 4 episode 20 synopsis does have a little bit more information when it comes to the series:

GYPSY RETURNS – Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash team up with Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) to try to thwart Thinker’s plan. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Gypsy have a heart to heart talk about their relationship. Rob J. Greenlea directed the episode written by Sterling Gates & Thomas Pound (#420). Original airdate 5/1/2018.

Since we obviously don’t know too much about Marlize to speculate on that subject further, let’s just spend a little bit of time on Gypsy. We are worried about this relationship for a couple of different reasons, starting with the fact that they work on different earths. That’s a little bit different from even your standard long-distance relationship. Beyond that, there is another wrinkle here in that Jessica Camacho has been unavailable for a lot of this season due to some of her other work over on Taken. With that show over, though, does that mean that she’s got more of a chance to appear as Gypsy down the line? Time will tell.

There are a few more episodes coming up this season so no matter what happens, we’ve got a good feeling that the drama from here on out is only going to escalate.
