Unsung Hero Showdown: Alicia Clark, Hayley Marshall close semifinals

Unsung Heroes

Welcome to the semifinals of the Unsung Hero Showdown! Over the past few weeks many of you out there have been voting for some of the characters on television you believe are the most underrated and in need of support — which, in turn, has led to us being where we are today. There are only six contenders left and over the next couple of days, we’ll face some head-to-head showdowns to determine the three who will face off in the finals starting on April 28.

Today, we’re closing out the semifinals with two other contenders in Alicia Clark from Fear the Walking Dead along with Hayley Marshall from The OriginalsBoth are passionate characters who have been on incredible journeys, but in the end only one of them is going to make it to the final round against two other contenders.

Voting Rules – Vote however many times you like! Voting is open between now and 1:00 p.m. Pacific time on Saturday, April 28. The Unsung Hero with the most votes will be brought into the finals.

I can’t see the poll; what do I do? – If you’re on mobile, scroll to the bottom and click to view the non-AMP version. If you still can’t, try to either clear your cache or use a different browser/device.

Now, let’s get to discussing the contenders further.

Alicia Clark – In this case, we’re talking about a fantastic character played by Alycia Debnam-Carey who has experienced tremendous character growth over the course of the past several years. We’ve seen her learn a lot about herself as a person and rise to become more of a leader and a stabilizing presence for others. It’s no surprise to see the character in the semifinals; Alicia performed very well right out of the gate in round 1 and the growth of this character makes her very much deserving of her spot here.

Hayley Marshall – Meanwhile, you have here someone who started out her story on The Vampire Diaries as a specific sort of character who has since gone on to become so much more. She’s fearsome, loyal, caring, and is so much more than her supernatural DNA. Hayley’s a fantastic, multifaceted character who has been there from the beginning and with this being the final season, we almost wish that the character and, in turn, Phoebe Tonkin were the recipient of even more credit for everything that they’ve brought to the table over time. Hopefully, this placement helps with that.

Now, let’s turn this over to you
