Grey’s Anatomy season 14 spoilers: Lindsay Wagner playing Helen Karev
According to a report from Deadline, former Bionic Woman actress Lindsay Wagner is set to play the present-day version of Helen Karev. She and her son haven’t had a relationship in a rather long time and with that in mind, Alex’s journey to Iowa is going to be one of discovery. You are going to see Helen on the upcoming May 3 episode of the series, which was directed by longtime cast member Jesse Williams.
Why is it so important right now for Alex to find his mother? Closure could be a big part of that, since we know that understanding where he is in his life, and where his mother is in hers, could be very important. Given the fact that Alex and Jo are engaged, this could be something that he cares about a little bit more now than he has in the past. While it’d be a thrill to see these characters married at the end of the season, ultimately, there is no guarantee of that. Given that they did only recently get engaged, we wouldn’t be altogether shocked if this was a storyline saved until we get to season 15. After all, the series has already been renewed (not that this should be much of a shocker to anyone).
No matter what happens, getting this story means in turn great material for Justin Chambers and we are certainly all about that.
