SEAL Team finale spoilers: Jason puts himself in grave danger

Throughout the first season of SEAL Team, it’s been pretty easy to praise Jason for his persistence and his heroism. Yet, moving into the upcoming finale on Wednesday, May 16 it seems as though he could be putting himself on the line even more than he ultimately has to. After all, we’re going to be seeing the character make a decision when it comes to his recovery that, in turn, could jeopardize the remainder of his life.He’s going to be in a position where one wrong move could end it all and while it may be acceptable to want revenge over the death of someone you care about, you also have to wonder this: Revenge at what cost? How much is too much?

Below, the SEAL Team finale synopsis does a good job of cluing you in to precisely how much danger you can likely anticipate for Jason in his quest to get revenge over what happened to the Echo Team:

“The Cost of Doing Business” – After Jason (David Boreanaz) lies about his concussion to get cleared for combat, he and the SEAL Team plan a final mission to avenge Echo Team’s deaths once and for all before they return home from deployment. 1st season finale.

What’s been so interesting about the second half of this story is that it has broken so much of the CBS mold and focused, for the most part, on this larger mission overseas and how the team works in order to achieve some results. What we’re wondering at the moment is pretty simple: What happens on the other side of this? Will the already-renewed second season focus more on home life, or thrust the team back out for some other action elsewhere? There are two different ways in which this story could be told and they are each exciting; whatever causes the most passion in the writers room is, in turn, the way in which we are going to ultimately embrace.
