Unsung Hero Showdown: Felicity Smoak, Nicole Haught face off in semifinals
Today, the focus is on Arrow star Felicity Smoak squaring off against Nicole Haught of Wynonna Earp — these are two incredibly-important characters with huge followings, so it’s pretty easy to say that the results here are going to be fascinating.

Now, let’s get to discussing the contenders further.
Felicity Smoak – Felicity had a pretty powerful run in the first round of the Showdown, generating a ton of buzz at a time in which her story was really starting to heat up on Arrow season 6. We’re now at a point in which that season is starting to get into its home stretch, which hopefully is going to mean some more big stories for her. It’s pretty hard to not feature her given her prominence both in Team Arrow and in Oliver’s life. She’s deserving of the attention as a multi-faceted character and really a prime example as a hero who doesn’t need a costume in order to succeed.
Nicole Haught – Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for Wynonna Earp to premiere and will be well after the conclusion of this tournament. Yet, it’s never too early to spotlight a character like Nicole, someone who is a strong force, intelligent, and the perfect bridge between reality and some of the show’s supernatural entities. She takes on normal crimes while also helping out Wynonna and Waverly in any way in which they require. She, like Felicity, had a strong showing in round 1; yet, only one of them will advance!
