Good Girls episode 10 spoilers: Can Rio be defeated?

Next week on NBC, you are going to have a chance to witness Good Girls episode 10 — which is, in turn, going to mark one of the most pivotal installments of the season. We are gearing up for a showdown that should be, among other things, dramatic, chaotic, and probably somehow a reasonable amount of fun. That is almost the way in which you can describe this entire season as a whole. It has brought to you a lot of moments that could be very surprising, but then also ones that encapsulate the humanity of some of these characters. Our leading ladies here entered their chosen “business” with a pursuit to give themselves significantly better lives. Now? It’s largely about saving their own lives and seeing if there is a way to see the other side.

Below, the Good Girls episode 10 synopsis (it’s also the finale) gives you a reasonably good idea as to some of the drama that these characters are going to be up against moving forward:

04/30/2018 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : Fearing for their lives, the ladies scramble to try to take down Rio (Manny Montana). A kidney becomes available for Sara (Lidya Jewett) but Ruby (Retta) and Stan (Reno Wilson) don’t have the money to pay for it. The three women hatch a plan that will solve both problems – one that involves returning to the scene of their first crime.

Are we charting towards a season 2 renewal?

This is something that we do still have to figure out here. One of the things that Good Girls has done a tremendous job at to date is finding a way in which to stay so consistent in the numbers. Yet, is that because of the strength of this show or its lead-in? We like to think that it is the former but there are some other variables that have to be considered here at the moment.

For example, think here in terms of how The Voice boosted Timeless and Taken only for the two this year to lose a number of viewers in different timeslots. Or, think about some of the struggles of The Brave earlier this year in the ratings when the singing show wasn’t on the air. Is the performance of Good Girls a product of its own success or something else? All we’re hoping for now is for NBC to give the show one more year to figure that out.
