NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 20 preview: ‘Reentry’ and discovery
One of the things that has probably surprised us the most about the story for this season is that Hetty Lange has recovered from her hostage crisis in Vietnam far better than we would have assumed someone in her position would. Remember that this is someone who was really put through hell and tested in some pretty brutal, terrifying ways. It’s probably only because of Hetty’s experience that she has been able to recover from what happened to her — now, she could also be able to use some of that experience to help someone else in need in Keane.
Below, the NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 20 synopsis does offer up some more information when it comes to some of what you can expect to see:
“Reentry” – Callen, Sam and Nell travel to the Angeles Forest to search for pieces of a failed rocket launch, including a top-secret government device. Also, Hetty tries to help Keane (Jeff Kober) acclimate to life in the states, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, April 29 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Through Keane, we are getting some reminders that the storyline from Vietnam is not over just yet and that is very much appreciated. Sometimes, it does seem like these arcs get buried away due to NCIS: Los Angeles’ nature as a procedural.
As for the case of the week, throwing Sam, Callen, and Nell out into the forest for this particular mission is interesting mostly because of the paranoia that is out there about rocket launches. We hope by the end of this episode we do have an opportunity to better understand whatever is going on here, but our fear is that there could be something greater behind this “failed” launch than what everyone realizes at first glance. Many of these cases are often so much more severe and extreme than anyone would otherwise realize.
