Homeland season 7 episode 11 sneak peek: The plan with Simone
When Homeland is really firing off on all cylinders, it is when Carrie, Saul, and other characters are conjuring up a delicate plan that could fall apart at any given moment. That leads, in turn, to the execution of said plan, which brings with it a wide array of other potential consequences. This preview is largely about this sort of thing when it comes to Simone, a character in deep of exfiltration and someone Carrie and Saul want to be able to successfully remove. Yet, there are so many complications to this. For starters, you’ve got the configuration of the plan itself. Then, you have finding a way to account for any potential human error that comes up along the way.
Then, there is one other issue that needs to be determined: What happens if the Keane Administration falls apart completely. There has been a serious risk of this for quite some time now, and Carrie and Saul have to consider the possibly that something happens in Washington and the Simone plan is completely derailed. This makes time of the essence if they want to pull something off here, given that there may not be all that much in terms of time to pull something off after the fact. This adds stakes, something that any good season of Homeland really needs.
