MacGyver season 2 episode 22 is important as an episode for a couple of different reasons. For starters, this marks the penultimate episode of the season. Beyond, this is a chance for the story of Mac’s father to rise to the forefront. It’s been bubbling underneath the surface for a rather long time but this could be a chance to see it front and center — suffice it to say, that’s exciting!
Below, take a look at the MacGyver season 2 episode 22 synopsis for a little bit more insight as to what you can expect to see:
“UFO + Area 51” – Mac and Riley are attacked by a group of masked men after the government calls them in to examine a mysterious object that crash-landed in the Nevada desert. Also, Riley uncovers new information about Mac’s father but questions whether to deliver it to him after he says he needs to move on, on MACGYVER, Friday, April 27(8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
As for whether or not we’ll actually meet Mac’s dad over the course of this episode, we’re not holding our breath on that. After all, the finale is entitled “MacGyver + MacGyver” and there could certainly be opportunities to explore that character a little bit further then … at least hopefully. With the season 3 renewal in mind, there will certainly be plenty of time to explore some of that if the producers want.
Beyond just the story of Mac’s father, there is clearly quite a bit else to be excited about in this episode, as well! Who doesn’t want to see a case that revolves around possible UFOs and other supernatural material? It’s one of the crazier ideas for an episode of the show that we’ve seen but this sort of craziness is precisely what MacGyver does best. It’s probably not going to be about real aliens (operative word: Probably), but we’re certainly excited about the idea that someone could think that it could be. Who else out there imagines Jack as the sort of guy who buys into all of this?
