The Originals season 5 episode 2 preview: Klaus returns to New Orleans

The Originals season 5 episode 2

What’s coming up on The Originals season 5 episode 2? This episode is entitled “One Wrong Turn on Bourbon” and based on some preliminary details, signs point toward this being a chance to see Klaus Mikaelson back where he really belongs — in the city of New Orleans, working to cause some trouble. Given that this is the final season, we really cannot say we’re all that shocked to se seeing him back in this venue so soon! This is going to give characters a chance to potentially reunite; yet, in the process, there are some clear consequences that could come as a result of these actions. The same goes for Marcel coming back to the city — basically, this is all an opportunity for everything to descend into anarchy sooner rather than later.

Beyond just the prospects of a Hope / Klaus reunion and for Hope’s personal life to be thrown for a loop, there is plenty of other interesting content coming! For a little more insight all about that, we simply suggest checking out The Originals season 5 episode 2 synopsis below:

THE RETURN TO NEW ORLEANS – When a mysterious disappearance brings Klaus (Joseph Morgan) back to New Orleans, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) looks forward to the prospect of seeing her father again. However, when the dark magic that had been keeping them apart begins to manifest in dangerous ways across the city, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) turns to Ivy (guest star Shiva Kalaiselvan) for guidance about what it may mean. Elsewhere, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) returns to New Orleans amidst increased tensions between the supernatural factions, while Freya (Riley Voelkel) makes a decision about her future with Keelin (guest star Christina Moses). Finally, Roman’s (guest star Jedidiah Goodacre) surprise visit to the Mikaelson compound forces Hope to reveal some dark truths about her family. Steven Krueger also stars. Carol Banker directed the episode written by Carina Adly MacKenzie (#502). Original airdate 4/25/2018.

We like to think about this episode of The Originals is the one that will really get some of the momentum going even more so than the premiere, which of course has the challenge of trying to establish where so many characters are in their lives after the time jump. This should thrust you more into the action of the now, while also offering a good sense regarding where these stories will go entering the series (sad face) finale.
