Good Girls episode 9 preview: Everything with Rio escalates
For much of the season to date, we’ve seen some of these women find themselves in an incredibly difficult position thanks to Rio’s control. He is doing what he can to make sure that things run according to his schedule — he’s found work for the women, but that said work has also led to plenty of other consequences. Things are about to get so much worse now moving into the next episode entitled “Summer of the Shark,” which is a somewhat dangerous title since it brings obvious jump-the-shark jokes to light. Granted that this is a series in its first season, though, we can’t be anywhere close to getting into that sort of situation, right? Luckily this is a very good series and we probably aren’t about to see it in any danger.
Below, the Good Girls episode 9 synopsis offers up a little bit of insight as to what’s going to be coming up:
04/23/2018 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : Rio (Manny Montana) asks the women to complete a seemingly simple job so he can get the operation up and running, but Beth (Christina Hendricks), Ruby (Retta), and Annie (Mae Whitman) fear there may be more to the task than meets the eye. As the ladies’ long-simmering tensions with the gang leader boil over, Ruby learns that Sara (Lidya Jewett) has risen to the top of the transplant list.

How are the ratings?
In the latest update, we can go ahead and tell you that this past installment generated overall a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic to go along with 4.2 million viewers. For everyone out there who is hoping to see this series getting an additional season, consider this music to your ears. The show is at least proving that it has the same group of people watching every week and NBC has to think of this as encouraging.
