The Big Bang Theory season 11 finale: Mark Hamill, Kathy Bates to appear
The Star Wars mega-star is one of many people who is said to be in appearing in some shape or form at Sheldon and Amy’s wedding and while our assumption would be that Hamill would be playing himself, wouldn’t it be rather funny if he was actually taking on the role of a relative of Amy’s who just so happened to look like Luke Skywalker?
Beyond Hamill’s appearance, there are a few other names here worth noting (via TVLine):
Kathy Bates – This will be Kathy’s first appearance on the CBS series but she does have quite a history working with show executive producer Chuck Lorre — she was a star over on Disjointed, the marijuana-themed comedy that was canceled after only one season.
Laurie Metcalf – It only makes sense that Sheldon’s mother Mary would be in attendance for the most important day of his life!
Courtney Henggeler – It’s been ages since Sheldon’s sister Missy appeared on the show, but this is the right time in which for it to happen again.
Jerry O’Connell – As previously announced, O’Connell is going to be appearing over the course of the episode as Sheldon’s brother Georgie.
Wil Wheaton – Enemies, friends, enemies, friends – we are happy he got an invite.
John Ross Bowie – We weren’t entirely sure that Sheldon would be that excited about having Kripke at his wedding, but he will be coming anyway.
Brian Posehn – Amy’s colleague Bert will be turning up, and we’re cool with this as we are one of the biggest members of the Bert fan club.
Teller (of Penn & Teller) – He will be there, but there is no news about his famous partner.
Lauren Lapkus – She is playing the character of Denise, and you are going to get a chance to know her better on Thursday night’s new episode.
