Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 2 preview: Collision course

Fear the Walking Dead season 3 episode 11 review

Moving beyond tonight’s premiere event, Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 2 may be the first real episode to actually feel like the show proper this whole season. Much of the premiere episode is being set up in order to establish the journey of Morgan Jones from the flagship show over to the spin-off. Meanwhile, from here we could see him starting to adapt to the new surroundings and the life that Madison, Alicia, and others have built. (We do hope that there is a little more time to explore this, mostly because everything still feels at this point very different from what we got during the first three seasons.)

Below, the Fear the Walking Dead season 4 episode 2 synopsis offers up a little bit more insight as to what’s going to be coming up:

A troubled survivor finds allies in an unexpected place. Meanwhile, the life Madison has fought to build comes under threat.

This is the episode that we’re probably be excited about even more so than the premiere. Don’t get us wrong — Morgan is a great character and we are rather fond of him. Yet, at the same exact time we’ve become attached to Fear the Walking Dead overall because of the opportunity to see the character alongside some of the other cast members. We are invested in the lives of Nick, Madison, Alicia, and many other people we’ve come to know and love on the show over time. This seems to be the proper time to dive more into these relationships and seeing where they are in the aftermath of everything that transpired at Broke Jaw Ranch. (Season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead was, at least from our vantage point, the best season of either franchise since The Walking Dead season 4 a good many years ago.)
