The Walking Dead season 9 premiere date hopes for Andrew Lincoln, cast
As of right now, here are some of the most important things to know about the new season. For starters, AMC renewed the zombie drama for another season pretty early on into this season’s run on the air. To go along with that, they made a shift when it comes to the creative team at the top. Scott M. Gimple is going to oversee the entire Walking Dead franchise on a higher level and with that, we’re going to see Angela Kang take over the day-to-day showrunner position. She’s going to bring her own ideas to the zombie drama and we’re exciting to see that. With a show like this, it is useful that there is some new creative energy here and there at the top.
Now, as for The Walking Dead season 9 premiere date, think in terms of October. This is when the series has premiered for the entirety of its run and there is no reason to change that. This is when zombies are at their height because of Hollywood and traditionally, the series has performed very well in this spot. Why in the world would you want to change things up when you’ve got a timeslot that works? Granted, the ratings are down and you could probably make an argument to move something or shake things up with that in mind, but we don’t quite think that will work. The problem the series does have isn’t its timeslot; instead, it’s suffered from both some creative decisions over time and, to go along with that, the natural fatigue that comes with having both this show and also Fear the Walking Dead on the air. Remember that sometimes, there is such a thing as having too much of something you love.
The Walking Dead will likely announce the official season 9 premiere date over the summer. Once there is more news, we’ll be sure to share an update.
