The Resident episode 10 sneak peek: The aftermath of Lily’s death

The Resident episode 4

When The Resident episode 10 airs on Fox come Monday night, one of the things that you are going to see is a number of emotional scenes regarding what happened to Lily. It’s an emotional situation, and the aftermath to that is more than likely going to be pretty severe.

What Conrad has figured out already is that something terrible went wrong with Lily and he is ready to pin the blame on Lane for it — he and Nic have already figured out that she is over-prescribing chemotherapy to many of her patients and with that, capitalizing on some of the insurance money to go along with it. The unfortunate thing about this is that even if Conrad and Nic are very aware of this, it’s still not going to be altogether easy to officially pin this death on what happened to Lane.

This is why, in the sneak peek below (via TV Guide), you see Conrad doing his best in order to encourage that there is some sort of autopsy ordered so that the hospital team can get some sort of accurate results as to what actually happened. The problem that we’re worried about with this, unfortunately, is that we’re going to see Nic end up getting blamed for this anyway given that all signs seem to be pointing towards Lane setting up Nic for what happened. As much as we don’t like the character, it’s clear that she is pretty smart and shrewd. She’s more than capable of doing something that hurts someone coming after her. (Obviously, she’s put a lot of thought into what she’s planning and is going to try to execute some of it to the overall best of her ability.)
