Scandal series finale details: What we know about ending
The Scandal series finale is set to come up on ABC Thursday night, and it almost goes without saying that this final chapter of the series’ run is going to be an important and pivotal one. Entitled “Over the Cliff,” one of the main goals of this installment is going to be establish a better sense of closure for some of these characters. Not only that, but this installment should also offer closure for the state of the fictional United States as a whole.
On this past episode, the Gladiators made one of the biggest moves that we’ve seen to date in exposing Command and the entire operation underneath the White House. Now, they have to prepare for some of the blowback. The Scandal series finale synopsis below does a good job of hyping up a little bit more in terms of what we could anticipate seeing:
With the existence of B613 exposed to the world, the Gladiators make the ultimate sacrifice in order to take down Cyrus and Jake – but how far will they go to get justice?
One of the biggest questions at the heart of the series as a whole is whether or not Olivia would go so far as to commit some of the most notable crimes out there for the sake of making a world a better place. Sure, eliminating Cyrus and Jake from the world through violence is one way in which you ensure that things are better (at least for a certain group of people). However, there are some other methods in which you could do that, including just letting law enforcement deal with the issue and try to restore America to some of its main institutions. There is always a better way — if there is one thing that Scandal taught some of the people who are out there, we are really hopeful that this is it. We don’t want to presume that this is the way things are going to be for some of these people forever, constantly surrounded by violence and decisions that could lead to mass losses of life.
