Chicago Med season 3 episode 15 review: Are Will, Natalie over?

Chicago Med season 3 premiereChicago Med season 3 episode 15 kicked things off on Tuesday night with one of the most unusual cases in the three-year history of the series. There was a patient who came in speaking gibberish and exhibiting some bizarre behavior; in the aftermath of this, we saw the parents come in and proclaim that she was suffering a form of demonic possession.

Luckily, what we did see here was Dr. Charles and Dr. Reese getting on the case in order to figure out what really happened … though the end result of this was certainly horrific in its own right. They determined that this woman was actually abused as a child. There was a blowup that came about as a result of this that eventually led to Reese taking out some of her frustrations about her father on this family. He had shown up briefly to cut Sarah off further, mostly as a means in which to prove that he was truly over any sort of hope that he could be better.

This was one heartbreaking moment in this episode, but not the only one since by the end of it, it felt pretty clear that we were going to be seeing Will and Natalie in a really tough spot. Natalie wants a break … which we think is different from a break-up, so there’s that. Yet, there was also a little problem here in Will’s visitor at the bar at the end of the episode.

Maggie’s mission

After being suspended on this past episode of the show, the nurse found herself in a spot of great peril: She ended up being in a spot where her entire career was going to be over and she needed a favor from Barry, the same man who she turned away for previously lying to her about his past. As it turns out, she didn’t need said favor and the lawsuit against her was eventually dropped — she didn’t need to violate the rules and now she has to live with that.

Other odds and ends

For Connor Rhodes, tonight his risky decision-making and roguish attitude in the OR caused him to lose his position on the team for now. Dr. Latham replaced him with Dr. Bekker, which in turn means that he now has to figure out how to work his way back.

Finally, we saw Dr. Choi agree to take his sister in, going against some of his trust issues. Based on the events of the end of the episode though, there may have been a reason not to trust her — she was holding parties in his home.

CarterMatt Verdict

Another good Chicago Med episode — but also one that does make us nervous about whatever could be coming up for Will and Natalie.
