The Good Karma Hospital season 2 episode 5 preview: Collapse and catastrophe

The Good Karma Hospital

There are a few different things worth noting regarding The Good Karma Hospital season 2 episode 5, but one of the biggest ones is simply this: We’re gearing up now for the end of the season! There are two more episodes to come this year and beyond that, we’ll just have to see what the future holds. With the end of the season in mind, it does feel like this is the time in which the writing/producing team have to raise the stakes when it comes to some of the stories. We anticipate more drama and with that, of course, more danger. Lives are almost surely to be on the line by the time we make it to the very end of the season — and with that, we don’t just mean some of the patients.

The Good Karma Hospital season 2 episode 5 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below gives you a little more of a sense as to what’s going to push the hospital more than it’s ever been before:

A building collapses in Barco and the team are stretched to the limit. Ruby’s objectivity is put to the test when she discovers a secret about one of her patients and Ram cares for a patient whose husband is missing.

One of the biggest challenges for the hospital in the aftermath of a building collapse is really quite simple: Finding a way to ensure that you still have the trust of the community. That’s not the easiest thing in the world to do since in moments of desperation, we’re not sure that every single patient is going to understand that there are limited resources. They want to help either their loves ones or themselves, and both of these make sense and are absolutely understandable.

As for poor Ruby, when is she going to be freed of having to deal with so many secrets? She just was handed one when it comes to her own family history and now, she has to deal with something else entirely. It doesn’t seem as though things are ever going to be getting easier for her … though it would probably be harder to make this show if they were. The Good Karma Hospital has its fair share of lighthearted moments, but it also relies a great deal on drama in order to push its narrative engine forward.
