Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 18 (finale) spoilers: Jonah Hex; a Mallus showdown

Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 18 is far from your ordinary episode of the CW series. After all, this marks the big finale, and the showdown between the Legends and Mallus that could be one for the ages.

The funniest thing about this, at least to us, is that this is the finale and we haven’t actually had a chance to see Mallus in the flesh once to date. Could this episode be it? There is still no guarantee of that; we just know that the title here in “The Good, the Bad, and the Cuddly” is somewhat hysterical and there’s a part of our brain that wonders whether or not Mallus is just going to possess a Beebo and we could end up having one of the most ridiculous final showdowns known to mankind.

SEASON FINALE – The Legends plan to vanquish Mallus by using the totems doesn’t go as planned, forcing Rip (guest star Arthur Darvill) to improvise. The team finds itself regrouping in the Wild West where they run into their old pal Jonah Hex (guest star Johnathon Schaech). Sara (Caity Lotz) leaves Ray (Brandon Routh) in charge of watching Damien Darhk (Neal McDonaugh), while she comes up with a new plan. Meanwhile, Amaya (Maisie Richarson-Sellers) is determined to find a way to use the totems to destroy Mallus. Dominic Purcell, Tala Ashe, Keiynan Lonsdale, Nick Zano and Franz Drameh also star. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Phil Klemmer (#318). Original airdate 4/9/2018.

Is it possible that the Mallus story extends into season 4? We don’t see any reason why it may not! What really matters here above all else is that the writers continue to come up with fun individual plots along the way. That is really what made this season so entertaining more so than the Big Bad.

Is Ava going to appear in some form? She’s not mentioned in the synopsis, though we know that Jax as well as John Constantine are each going to be making one more appearance.
