Call the Midwife season 7 episode 4 preview (PBS): Trixie in dire need

If you thought that tonight’s episode had a few tough moments, Call the Midwife season 7 episode 4 on PBS next week is keeping the trail of pain going strong! There will be hope here and there, but there are also going to be a number of key characters who start to feel a little hopeless. It’s going to be one of the more painful episodes we’ve seen as of late for Trixie and, rather unfortunately, we’re not sure that any of the pain will subside in the near future.

Sister Julienne navigates a complex situation with a Pakistani family facing an unexpected pregnancy. Sister Monica Joan’s pride and independence are in jeopardy as her sight deteriorates. Trixie struggles to cope after a break up.

Trixie’s relationship breakdown with Christopher is going to cause her to slip back into her old ways and, in turn, may also make you question as to whether or not there is any hope for her on the horizon.

As for some of the other storylines that are playing through out this episode, for Sister Monica Joan in particular be ready to see her as stubborn as humanly possible when it comes to her vision. She’s not altogether interested in the idea of having some sort of treatment done; meanwhile, some other members of Nonnatus House may try to encourage her to do so. Will she actually appreciate some of this, or look at it a little bit more as a form of pressure? That is something that could become a very interesting factor in the story that’s coming up.

All in all, this will be another emotional edition of Call the Midwife and the simple advice we can offer with that in mind is this: Prepare yourself.
