Billions season 3 episode 3 preview: Axe’s secret and other problems

Billions season 3

Billions season 3 episode 3 carries with it the title of “A Generation Too Late,” which feels like the sort of thing that would be said by someone shaking their head in regret. If someone feels that they were born a generation too late, maybe they feel in turn almost as though they are missing out on some sort of great opportunity that they could’ve had otherwise to shine or maybe they just don’t feel like they fit in with the current generation. It’s not just about timing when it comes to getting the next business breakthrough; it’s making sure that your audience can relate to you. We do think that this is something that Bobby Axelrod has struggled with and as a result of that, he’s tried to compensate for it by making himself appear as relatable as he possibly can to almost any situation. He’s a billionaire chameleon who, over time, has shed much of his skin. He’s now working more in the underground while Axe capital operates with some different Sheriffs.

The Billions season 3 episode 3 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below gives you a pretty good sense of what is going to be coming up:

Chuck faces a dilemma when he’s given a perverse directive. Axe expands upon a secret venture. Taylor and Wags interview a different type of Axe Capital employee. Connerty and Dake close in on key witnesses in the Ice Juice sabotage. Axe and Lara consider an unexpected agreement.

The relationship between Axe and Lara remains to us one of the series’ most interesting, mostly because their social strategies with life are so different; yet, they found enough common ground to make some sort of relationship work. This is why they are capable of agreement, but also why this agreement could fall apart at any moment.
