When could A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3 premiere on Netflix?
As great as it would be to see more of the Lemony Snicket series soon following the season 2 launch, the reality here remains that you are probably going to be forced to wait until we get around to 2019 to see the third season come on the air. Netflix has already renewed the series, but this takes a good bit of time to make in between filming the scenes, editing, music and final touches. The post-production process takes a long time so that the series is perfected.
There are two things that you should know in advance of A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3, but there are some spoilers ahead for the end of season 2. Read on with that in mind!
1. You will have a chance to see more Allison Williams – The former Girls star appeared in the closing minutes of the second season, and she will be sticking around for a much larger role in season 3. If you are familiar with the books, you probably have a much better sense as to what this role is going to be.
2. This will be the final season of the show – Since there is limited source material here insofar as length goes, this was always planned to be a reasonably short series. Neil Patrick Harris can come in, tackle the material, have a good time, and move on to the next thing.
When could the season 3 premiere announcement be made?
Think in terms of later this year / early 2019. There’s no real reason for Netflix to rush this, especially since A Series of Unfortunate Events is one of those shows that can be re-watched time and time again. They aren’t going to announce the return date for more episodes until they know for sure that they will be available at that time.
