When are more Elementary season 6 details coming?
While you are seemingly waiting still until the end of April to have a chance to check out the start of season 6, there is still some good news in that over the next week or two, the first synopses, photos, and other teases should start to creep online. CBS tends to release most of their promotional material for an episode 2-3 weeks prior to it airing, mostly because of the fact that this gives viewers enough time to get excited while also not giving so much time that viewers start to forget about some of the promotional stuff they just saw. There should be a pretty steady stream of promos and the like from mid-April on, leading up to the big premiere and what should hopefully be a very exciting summer of new episodes.
There are a few things that we know at the moment when it comes to Elementary season 6, starting with Sherlock’s health scare returning as a subplot in some shape following the shockers at the end of this past season. Meanwhile, Dexter alum Desmond Harrington is going to be playing a pivotal role as someone Sherlock meets at Alcoholics Anonymous; they form a bond, but soon after this bond starts to turn destructive and you are left to wonder if this friendship could actually prove to be way more trouble than it’s worth.
Unfortunately, the most important bit of news out there regarding Elementary is still floating around in the ether: Whether or not there is going to be a season 7. We know that it’s hard to know without seeing the series’ ratings, but depending on when the cast contracts expire (that could happen before the end of all of these episodes airing) there is a perfectly good chance that CBS may have to make a decision a little bit earlier on in the season than they are used to.
