The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 20: James Maslow to guest star

Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 19

The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 20 (airing on CBS on April 12) is going to manage to check a couple of boxes. Not only will this episode feature the long-waited bachelorette party for Amy Farrah Fowler, but it is also giving a cast member of the network’s recent Celebrity Big Brother another gig.

Per a new press release, former Big Time Rush performer and Celebrity Big Brother contestant James Maslow will be appearing as a bartender in “The Reclusive Potential.” This marks the second known gig by a cast member of the reality series on CBS since it ended, with Marissa Jaret Winokur already booking a story on The Bold and the Beautiful. Maslow’s role may be fairly small, but it could also be hilarious given that it could come right in the midst of the aforementioned party for Amy.

The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 20 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up some more information as to what’s coming:

“The Reclusive Potential” – A brilliant but reclusive scientist, Doctor Wolcott (Peter MacNicol), invites Sheldon to his cabin in the middle of nowhere, and Leonard, Raj and Howard go along for the trip. Also, Penny and Bernadette improvise after Amy doesn’t like the tame bachelorette party they planned for her, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, April 12 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Aside from Maslow’s appearance, there are two other things worth pointing out here.

1. Is Sheldon really going to count taking his friends out to the middle of nowhere as his bachelor party? We suppose that it’s going to be about as realistic as we would imagine that a bachelor party for Sheldon would be.

2. Is there something more to Doctor Wolcott than meets the eye? It feels that way since reclusive people often act this way for a reason. While Sheldon’s pretty brilliant, why does he need to go visit Walcott in person when there are seemingly so many other ways in which the two could communicate?
