The Blacklist season 5 episode 17 video: Reddington’s new conundrum

The Blacklist season 5 episode 17 is going to be airing on NBC Wednesday night and at the corner of this story will be one thing that should certainly feel quite familiar: The hunt for Ian Garvey. As of late this has been the foundation for the majority of the season. He is the man who holds the secrets regarding the suitcase, but is also responsible for murdering Tom Keen; with that, Liz and Reddington want him for entirely different reasons and neither have made it a secret that they want to get to him first.

Given that it is clear at this point that Liz and Reddington each have their own motives for what they want with Garvey, it feels best to shift the conversation slightly onto something else: How the two are handling the threat that he and those close to him present. According to the new sneak peek below via SpoilerTV, Reddington is now spending some of his time over at the South Sudanese embassy. He claims that he is not hiding there from the cops, but rather to protect himself from Garvey. He advises Liz to do the same, but she is not altogether keen (pun intended) to listen.

When Liz and Reddington meet within this embassy in this episode, you get a sense as to what the next move is with his plan. There is another person he wants Liz to track, someone who worked alongside the Nash Syndicate in order to bring illegal product into the country. Is this the new Blacklister of the week? Potentially, but their relationship to Garvey should grow explicitly clear as the installment progresses. Every move with The Blacklist these days is intentional, especially as we near the end of the season. There are promises that the suitcase mystery will blow up Reddington’s world the moment that some of the finer details are revealed, so keep watching with that in mind with bated breath.
