Scorpion season 4 finale spoilers: Is Walter, Paige’s biggest moment still ahead?
The Scorpion season 4 finale is airing on April 16, which is a little bit earlier than we’re used to seeing it. What gives there? While we are somewhat worried about the current ratings for the series, at the same time we don’t foresee this show ending earlier than usual as a direct function of numbers. It’s more just CBS trying to find room in their schedule in order to launch the new season of Elementary as soon as they can.
As for what’s coming up in this episode, let’s just say that it could be one of the most important stories of the series. It has to be written as both a season finale but also as a possible series finale just in case a renewal doesn’t happen; beyond that, it needs to contain some of the familiar DNA that we’ve come to expect from the series in between an exciting case-of-the-week plot and also some opportunities to see personal stories develop. Given that Happy and Toby have spent a lot of time trying to get pregnant and Walter and Paige’s relationship is moving forward in a complicated direction, there are a lot of different ways in which this season could wrap up.

What we’re hoping to see here is some of these stories be wrapped up properly rather than have them go full-on in the cliffhanger direction. In the event that there is a Scorpion season 4 in the future, is it really going to be so much trouble to pick up the show with a time jump or just create brand new challenges for the characters to explore? You don’t need to rely on a cliffhanger as a jumping-off point, because fans of the show will return.
