Gotham season 4 episode 18 may have more villains than ever before

Gotham season 4 episode 18

If you’re interested in checking out an hour of TV that is really chock full of villains, we’re getting a pretty good sense right now as to where you should look: Gotham season 4 episode 18. Based on some of the early indications that are out there this episode may be stuffed full of bad guys more so than almost any other to date.

Just to give you a sense of what we’re talking about here, the following names are all attached to be appearing in this episode, entitled “That’s Entertainment,” airing on April 12: David W. Thompson as Scarecrow, Benedict Samuel as Jervis Tetch, Cameron Monaghan as Jerome Valeska, Michelle Veintimilla as Firefly, and Nathan Darrow as Mr. Freeze. That’s only accounting for the recurring players, and isn’t even factoring in some of the series regulars that are of course going to be stopping by. The idea of Scarecrow, the Mad Hatter, Jerome, Firefly, and Mr. Freeze all in a single episode is pretty terrifying, and it has to be for anyone they come across — especially if they all work together in some capacity. We’ve said this before and it is absolutely worth repeating: If many of the villains on Gotham found a way to actually work together we’ve got a pretty good feeling that they will be unstoppable.

Below, the Gotham season 4 episode 18 synopsis offers up a little bit more news as to what’s coming up next:

The Arkham inmates are still running freely in Gotham and they’re only getting more difficult to catch. Gordon develops a plan, but reluctantly has to turn to Bruce for help. Meanwhile, Barbara finds out just how far her new friends are willing to go for her in the all-new “A Dark Knight: That’s Entertainment” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, April 12 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-418) (TV-14 L, V)

Is there actually going to be a central villain leading into the homestretch of this season? We do think this is a good question to ponder over given that for the time being, it doesn’t appear as though there is. Instead, it feels a little bit more as though there is a rotating panel of evil-doers who are constantly keeping Gordon and company on their toes. We are both grateful and very lucky that the series seems to be eager to give us so much Jerome this season, largely because so many of his appearances in the past have been fairly short-lived.
