The Alienist finale spoilers: How will TNT drama end?

The Alienist

Next week, The Alienist finale is going to be upon us — with that, you better anticipate things are going to get intense. Hopefully, this is when you are finally going to get some answers as to some season-long mysteries. There will be some big reveals and great performances, and it’s also possible that there could at least be a suggestion as to what a season 2 could be. (Unfortunately, TNT has still not decided on the show’s future fate, but we’ve long had the opinion that this is one of those “limited series” that could end up becoming a little bit more than that.)

Below, The Alienist finale synopsis offers up some other insight as to what is coming up next:

Kreizler (Daniel Brühl) confronts the demons of his past. Moore (Luke Evans) tells Sara (Dakota Fanning) the truth. Connor (David Wilmot) takes matters into his own hands. The team closes in on the killer as time is running out.

If you are to look at the story of the show itself, it feels pretty clear that answers are pretty high on the list of things that we could see. Beyond that, there are a few other things that we want to check out — including some emotional moments and a sense of definite finality. Given the limited-series billing we don’t think the sense that there is going to be a big cliffhanger. Instead, our sentiment is that the show is going to be giving you an emotional ending that makes you feel like this journey was worth it. Hopefully, uncovering the killer brings a sense of peace — even if it is temporary peace. After everything Moore, Sara, and others have been through, they deserve at least some sort of a chance to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
