Deception episode 3 preview: Kay officially enlists Cameron and his team

Deception

ABC has released the promo and episode synopsis for Deception and it will mark the first official partnership of Agent Daniels and Cameron Black. After spending his last the last episode trying to convince the FBI to make him an official consultant, Cameron has finally succeeded and will be taking every opportunity to gain their trust. As we learned at the end of the last episode, Agent Daniels has already been looking into Johnny’s case and now he just needs to enlist everyone in the FBI. So where’s Cameron’s next case? Take a look at the official synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

“When an art museum docent is held hostage, Kay enlists Cameron and his team to help rescue her using the art of escapology.”
The promo (which you can check out below) reveals right off the bat that this is going to be an intense case. There are four bombs, four paintings, and one trapped employee that need the FBI’s help. So Agent Daniels calls upon Cameron Black who comes to the scene of the crime and declares that escapes are his thing. Now this may seem easy, but there’s a countdown until the bombs explodes and the promo suggest that the bombs could be tripped to explode if the team runs into something. This brings in Cameron’s team or Deception who will build another set in order to get the art museum employee out safely. The promo ends with Cameron setting the stage for his trick before the scene flashes to a bomb exploding.
Overall, we are intrigued by the episode. What makes this show different from the others like it is the way this team solves the crimes. When Cameron and Deception build their stages in order to perform their trick to catch the killer in their act, these stages that they build to bring their illusion are so fascinating and we want to see the show focus a little more on this. In other words, we hope to see more of Cameron’s Deception team. They have great personalities and really offer something that can appeal to audiences. The banter and dynamic between them all is entertaining. They are funny and offer more comic relief following an intense or serious moment.
In addition, the ratings for the show’s first episode were decent and we are cheering for the show to continue to keep their viewers and we encourage more to give it a try.
