The Assassination of Gianni Versace episode 9 (finale) spoilers: It all ends

Assassination of Gianni Versace episode 9

The Assassination of Gianni Versace episode 9 is so much more than your average episode of the series on FX. After all, this marks the end of the entire series as a whole. This installment is entitled “Alone,” and for one reason or another the network is not revealing too much in advance as to what is coming up here.

As a matter of fact, here is (in full) The Assassination of Gianni Versace episode 9 synopsis: “The hunt for spree-killer Andrew Cunanan comes to a frantic end…” That isn’t exactly a whole lot to go on, is it?

Well, you can at least look towards history to get a sense as to how this story is going to be coming to a close. He killed himself eight days after the killing of Versace, using the same gun that he had for a string of murders in the past. His remains were cremated and then interred in San Diego. As for how much of Cunanan’s death is shown, or the aftermath of some of his heinous crimes, that remains to be seen. One of the things that we know about the American Crime Story franchise based on the first season of the show is that they struggle slightly with coming up with the right time in which to end the story. That is understandable, given that we are talking about reality and reality tends to move very much at its own pace.

Let’s just hope that this finale finds a way to live up to expectations.
