For anyone out there who has appreciated the development of the Aram – Samar relationship on The Blacklist, know this: We could be seeing the series take a step forward in that department.

The Blacklist season 5 episode 17, which carries with it the title of “Anna-Gracia Duerte,” is going to be a key episode for the character as he starts to figure out more of what the future holds. The two characters (thanks in part to the time jump) have actually been together now for a little while and this installment could serve as a great opportunity for them to try and figure out a little bit more of what their future could hold. Hopefully, we’re going to continue to see some interesting events play out with these two characters — maybe there’s an engagement coming, but remember that this isn’t the only potential option for what could be coming up for the two.

Below, the Blacklist season 5 episode 17 synopsis offers up some other insight when it comes to what lies ahead on the series:

04/04/2018 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : When an associate of the Nash Syndicate is murdered, Red (James Spader) sets Liz (Megan Boone) and the Task Force on the case in order to recover evidence crucial to bringing down Ian Garvey (guest star Jonny Coyne). Meanwhile, Aram (Amir Arison) considers a step forward in his relationship with Samar (Mozhan Marno).

Obviously, the Aram storyline here is a big part of what has us interested about this installment based mostly on how it comes across on paper. Beyond just that, though, it does still feel like the Reddington / Liz storylines are going to continue to be well worth the cost of admission, as well. What’s so interesting with what Reddington is doing right now is that he’s walking a tightrope. There is a chance that Liz ends up learning too much and, in turn, he lands himself in some trouble.
