MacGyver season 2 episode 18 return date: ‘Riley + Airplane’
Unfortunately, a certain something known as college football is going to be keeping the series off of the air for at least the immediate future, but it will be back when we get to Friday, March 30 with an installment entitled “Riley + Airplane.” What that suggests is, at least at the moment, rather simple: It looks as though we’re poised to get a really big episode for the Riley character in this hour.
What could it be? Executive producer Peter M. Lenkov told us earlier this year that we could be seeing a connection for between her and a member of the Colton Family, and this could be the episode where that happens. Or, maybe this is another episode that dives more into her backstory and the relationship that she has with her father Elwood. Maybe the show will make our dream of a Bozer / Riley romance into a reality … though that feels a little bit like a stretch. For the time being the #1 thing that we’re just banking on is Tristin Mays getting a good bit of screen time, mostly because we don’t know why you name the episode after her unless she is to have a big role in the story.
There are in total six more episodes to come this season, as MacGyver was give an order of 23 installments going into the year. If there is an installment airing every week from March 30 on, than this season of MacGyver could conclude as early as Friday, May 4. If there is a week off somewhere in there, than a finale on May 11 also makes a certain degree of sense. Either way, there’s a nice little run of episodes still to come.
Hopefully by the time that the final stretch of episodes airs there is some official news regarding the series’ long-term future. Every single indication that we have at the moment suggests that there will be more MacGyver on the air; it is mostly just a question of figuring out precisely when the renewal is announced.
