Jessica Chapshaw, Sarah Drew comment on Grey’s Anatomy exit
In the aftermath of the news breaking the two actresses are each speaking out about the news, and you can see what each one of them had to say in the post below. There are many different reactions that the two could have had, but they both keep things super-classy as they express gratitude both to the series itself and also show executive producer Shonda Rhimes. They each have a lot to be tremendously thankful for at the moment — when you stop and think about it, the two have each been a part of the show for close to a decade. (Drew has been around for nine years, whereas Capshaw has been there ten.) That is a long time to hang around a single job, and to go along with that a long time to build friendships with all of the other cast members.

At the moment it is still not entirely clear how these characters are going to be written off, so it’s our hope that it will be in a way that is a testament to everything that they brought to the series both in terms of their performances, their characters, and also the viewers who believed in them. It doesn’t feel like there is any reason to kill these two off so we really hope that this doesn’t happen.
Moving forward now, Shonda has a new deal over at Netflix and is developing some projects over there. Wouldn’t it be perfect if either Capshaw or Drew landed a new role with whatever her next show is?
